And the winner is…

Thank you all for entering the competition – you were brilliant!

The winner was Liz Harris from Oxford and a signed copy of Elizabeth Buchan’s  Light of the Moon will be on its way to her, courtesy of La Poste’s (cheap) ‘cultural service’. Yes, the French post office has a cheap rate for books, manuscripts, etc.

Happy reading, Liz!

My thanks to Elizabeth Buchan for kindly donating the prize. More on Elizabeth and her books at

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Alison! I was THRILLED to win. I love winning per se, but to win an Elizabeth Buchan book, that makes it really special. I love her books – she captures relationships so perfectly that you feel that you’ve met her characters and you can lose yourself in their world and identify with their concerns.

The glass of champagne in the pic was absolutely spot on for what I’m about to do next. My lunch guests have gone, I have champagne in the fridge and I’m about to chill out in the best way possible, so…

… cheers to you, Alison and Elizabeth, and thank you for the fun competition.
